luis
Abstain, It would have been much more interesting a lead problem without your comment about a squeeze to see what experts would have lead and why, the interesting thing in these problems is to understand what players think when selecting their lead. Now it's just trying to determine what lead is more likely to beat a squeeze. The best lead is not the one that succeeds, is the one that most experts would have choosen, because while it can be wrong for one hand it would be right for most of them. jjsb
well , luis , my question on this lead it's absolutely not "what would u lead to beat a squeeze" but definitely "what is the lead u would have done" of course . if i wasnt clear about that sorry of course . syl
Free
Agree with Luis... But to answer your question, I think we have to find it in the red suits: ♥Qx by partner, or ♦ JTx/Jxx. Still a blind guess, however ♦Q lead might be best.

But since you say there is a sqz. apparently, club is the suit both you and pd have to guard. So the right lead in this case is cx.
Fluffy
♥J is the safest lead, so just make it.
mishovnbg
By bidding and your own cards is sure opps will take a lot of ♠ and you will have problems with discards (squeese). The only one who can hold ♦ is your p, so you must hold ♥ and both you - ♣ - simple double squeese for opps. The only hope is to lead ♣ and pray dummy to be singleton there.Misho

jjsb
ok so first sorry for having put that comment on that problem , i just want to repeat what i have said, i just didnt thougth it would count on the analyses , my question was of course about "what u think is the best lead" . anyway here come the 4 hands [hv=n=sqj10h9742d10732c104&w=sak9765h65dackq98&e=s2hakq8dkj9864ca6&s=s843hj103dq5cj7532]399|300|[/hv] at the table i didnt find the killing S lead (not sure it's findable) and lead the "logical" (for me) J of H hopefully declarer didnt find the way to make that contract . as i said the auction is not what i should say a "perfect one" but this is what i had at the table for help regardssyl
