jmcw
Your bid? [hv=d=e&v=n&s=sthakt87dt9xxck9x]133|100|Scoring: IMP2♦ P P DBLP ?[/hv] If you wanted to bid 2♥ immediately, sorry its too late!
ArtK78
3♥. I am not going to punish partner for balancing by jumping to game, but I am going to let him know that I have a great hand for one that could not act immediately over 2♦. jdonn
3♥ seems normal. If pard is a min we could go down but if pard has a little more he could pass 2♥ when we have a game.
Apollo81
I have to say I would bid 4♥ at the table. Maybe it is a bad bid, but I bet game is cold on a number of hands where partner would pass a 3♥ bid.
cherdanno
I don't think I would bid less than 4♥. Given that game is excellent opposite Kxxx Q9xx x Axxx, this does not seem like an overbid. KQxx Qxx xx Axxx - I also want to be there. AKxx Jxx xx QJxx - ok this is a very bad one, but this time I have given partner a minimum with unsuitable shape AND wastage. JLOL
3♥ seems normal. LOL
skjaeran
I don't want to torture partner with an invite with this hand, 4♥.
Trinidad
3♥. To me, 4♥ shows a hand that is weaker and more distributional (think of a weak two in hearts or a 3♥ opening). With a hand that was just about too weak for a normal 2♥ overcall, I bid 3♥. Rik
blackshoe
To me... Yeah. I picked 3♥ also. But the real question is, what will it mean to partner? ;)
Phil
4♥ looks obvious to me even opposite many balancing doubles.
mcphee
3H jump is invitational, 5 trumps. This is not what I consider an invite hand and I would have to take into consideration how good this hand is even from a balancing dble which might be less. It is quite possible partner holds 8 or 9 major suit cards, and short D. My thoughts are redirected to this K of C as a super working value . You are vulnerable at imps, to even consider you must reach game is cowardly IMHO. I confess I would bid 3D and then 4H over whatever partner was to unless it was 4D.
