andy_h
Maybe this hand type has been discussed before, don't remember. You are in 3rd seat as South at all vul and pick up[hv=d=s&v=b&s=sxhaxxd9xxxcaj9xx]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] Partner opens 1♠ and righty overcalls 2♦. Your bid.If you decide to pass, any plans over partner's likely rebids?
dbsboy
pass 2♦. over X, I bid 3♣.over 2♥, I pass.over 2♠, I pass.over 3♣, I bid 3♦, which should be a good raise.
Phil
I'm doubling. Passing could very well work, but if partner reopens with anything (except maybe 2♥), we have a heck of a rebid problem.
whereagles
I'll dbl, intending to treat my heart holding as if it were 4.
OleBerg
pass 2♦. over X, I bid 3♣.over 2♥, I pass.over 2♠, I pass.over 3♣, I bid 3♦, which should be a good raise. Much like this. I'd be very tempted to raise 2♠, with some partners.
Phil
I'd be very tempted to raise 2♠, with some partners. I think you have to move over 2♠. Pard could easily have a 17. Which is really the main reason why I like the initial double, since we express our values, and we aren't creeping around in a fog of uncertainty. Cascade
pass 2♦. over X, I bid 3♣.over 2♥, I pass.over 2♠, I pass.over 3♣, I bid 3♦, which should be a good raise. Over every action except 3♣ you take the weakest action. This means that in the bidding partner never finds out you have two aces. I think that you need to be much more optimistic than this. I am moving over anything that partner bids if I passed on the first round. I prefer double on the first round.
gnasher
Over every action except 3♣ you take the weakest action. Facing a double, isn't 3NT normally played as Lebensohl? Hence dbsboy's 3♣ shows some values.

Hence dbsboy's 3♣ shows some values. I am not sure that Lebensohl is standard in this sort of auction. It certainly could apply but that would require special partnership agreement.
