rfedrick
All NV, IMPs (32 board KO). AKJ10 x Q10xxx 10xx (3♥)-P-(4♥)-? to you. Do you double or go quietly?
H_KARLUK
Pass. It's like "how do you want to die" :). Whatever you wish th Azrael decides.
OleBerg
Reluctant pass. No one likes bidding better than me, but I wont this time. We might miss out on something, but it is not very liekly that we are "robbed blind". Often, by acting, we will either turn a plus score into a slightly better plus score, or into a minus score. whereagles
Dbl. Everytime I pass with these hands I have a bad score. So bid.

dicklont
The choice is between 4♠ and Dbl. I choose 4♠. Pass is not an option.Ask yourself what you would do after 3♥ - dbl - pass - ?A simple 3♠ would be 0-7, with a king extra you would bid 4♠ everyday, right? TimG
Dbl. Everytime I pass with these hands I have a bad score. So bid. Kind of funny that you choose double and then say "bid".

ASkolnick
Let's not get technical over the difference between a "bid" and a "call"
rogerclee
Looks like a routine pass to me, we barely have the values to make a takeout double of 1♥!

ArtK78
I consider this to be a WTP pass. That doesn't mean I am happy about the situation, but taking a call other than pass doesn't make much sense to me.
rfedrick
[hv=d=w&v=n&n=sqxxxhxxdaxckq9xx&w=sxhk10xxxxxdkj9cxx&e=sxxxxhaqjdxxxcajx&s=sakj10hxdq10xxxc10xx]399|300|Scoring: IMP[/hv] People seem to be split fairly equally between doubling and letting it go. One hand proves nothing, but here it waas right to act. Double gets you to 4♠, a contract with decent play that happens to go one off on the actual layout; but that's OK since 4♥ is making. My partner passed; at the other table South chose to double to win 8 imps.
Phil
There's a local group of players that always seems to double on hands like this. There is a fair chance of a double game swing, so this isn't WTP anything and I can understand either pass or double.
