mtvesuvius
3♠... Partner promised a few of them, safety might be in 3♦, but I don't think that partner will always have 5♦ or even sometimes 4 here.
MFA
Yes.3♦. Too optimistic to bid 3♠.

Phil
3♦. Partner does not promise 4♠, and I want to slow down pard as much as possible.
hanp
Very good problem. I'm not so worried about slowing down partner, but I do think that 3D will make more often than 3S. If partner raises 3S to 4S we might have play.
Fluffy
I'd bid 3♦ wich will hardly ever be raised. I don't like my chances in 4♠.
andy_h
3D. Agree that I also want to slow partner down. Let's hope he isn't 4432 lol
flytoox
3D too.
Codo
3♠ Partner will hate me with 4441 or 4432 for a 3 ♦ bid. And when he has 3442 or 3451, at least the side with the short trumps will ruff the clubs.
Hanoi5
3♠. What if partner is 4=4=3=2?
dicklont
I want to bid 3♦ it's the weakest sound I can make. But partner asks me to choose a major, so I feel that I must bid 3♠.I hope he passes.
whereagles
3♠. A 3♦ bid is gambling pard has precisely 3451 or 3442. Those are just two shapes out of a relatively wider range of possibilities, say 43424432435144414450 all of which provide a good fit for spade play. Phil
3♠. What if partner is 4=4=3=2? And what if pard is 3=4=6=0?
Fluffy
3♠. What if partner is 4=4=3=2? And what if pard is 3=4=6=0? don't forget strong 2452 or 2443.
jdonn
I wouldn't be so pessimistic, 3♠. Why shouldn't 4♠ make if partner bids it?

neilkaz
I have pure garbage and want to slow PD down, but fear that 3♦ end ups in a 4-3 fit more often than 3♠. 3♠ for me, noting that PD's heard my first pass and that I could bid 4♣ with a real good hand for my previous pass. 3♠
fachiru
On this beauty hand, I want to make the weakest bid possible: 3♦.If prd. somehow can do more over that response, I'll probably introduce spades later, but under no circumstances now.
