vuroth
I really don't want east leading diamonds through me if I can help it. Granted, if east has the K♠, I might not have much choice. I'll win on dummy, cash the K♣, then finesse the Q. If it loses and I get a ♦ return, I'm fine. If it loses and I get a ♠ return, I wonder if playing the ace might give me an opportunity for a squeeze if I win and run the round suits. I'll try to look more later. hotShot
I'll win on dummy, cash the K♣, then finesse the Q. This way you eliminate 2 entries to dummy, if you want to play the ♣K you could also win the ♥ trick in your hand and play a little ♣ to the K. I think what he is saying is there is no need to rise with the spade A. You will have 4 clubs 3 hearts and 2 spades for your 9 tricks simply by ducking. (One diamond lead from RHO can't hurt you.)
