655321
I probably lead ♦T, but I don't feel strongly about a diamond (T9x, sequence of sorts, safeish) compared to a heart (major suit, no Stayman). I hate a black suit lead (AQ fourth and Q third).
JLOL
heart If possible, can you please explain your reasons? I feel like the added safety of the D9 does not outweigh the fact that they will have more diamonds than hearts on average.

Codo
A spade. I agree that it is close between the reds- I would not know what to lead when I would be forbidden to lead a spade.

kenrexford
Yeah, this is BAM. This looks like a hand to not give away a trick. That said, one thought I have is that any red-suit lead that ends up looking like a safe lead might help Declarer place the club Queen, ever-so-slightly, by restricted choice. This might be a reason to actually lead the diamond, to look more like an attacking lead. On the other hand, leading a heart might look like we are making an attacking lead into partner's expected trick source, because we have no entries (we do, but we are painting a picture). For that reason, I like the heart lead, but I think I'd lead the top heart.
JLOL
Ken we should play together on BBO some time lol.
Phil
This is an auction to lead a major, and leading from AQxx blows. Put me down for a heart too. I'll lead low and Smith my way away from it later if it looks like we need to get bizzy.

Apollo81
dummy has x xxx Jxxx AJTxx declarer has KJxxx KJx AKQ Kx Diamond (or club) works this time -- declarer's hand gets squeezed on his 9th trick. (one table led a diamond, the other table led the ♠T from the other side)
