H_KARLUK
Hi, we regularly join ACBL pairs at least two tournaments in a day. Weekends at least 4 , max 6 in same day with regular partner. Now playing ACBL Tue 9p #479. This is th 2nd tour. Something interesting occurred. Using Windows XP Home Edition SP2 on Toshiba Satellite Laptop Intel[R] Celeron [R] M CPU 410 @ 1.46 GHZ , 448 MB RAM for only to play online bridge under ADSL broadband 100.0 Mbps. I was touching nothing only waiting tournament start. It started. At that moment I found myself as West. Opps were red. Then I read a Windows post message telling NetBridgevu exe (srry i hope i remembered th exe name correct) encountered with a trouble so should close application. Similar thing happened last Sunday. But th ACBL tours were not started yet and i was in lobby only. It took about a minute then Ver 5.03 returned normal. Also seating was South as usual. matmat
this sort of stuff can happen from time to time. you should look through other software that you have running on the machine and see how much memory it is eating up etc. The few times that I've seen that message i've been1) logged on to bbo for a VERY long time2) had about 15 other programs open.
