helene_t
Now someone is going to lol me but I am not sure if 3 or 4 is right. My guess is that 4 goes down more often than not and opps may not be able to bid and make anything.

Walddk
Capp in my sys card ; 2♣ single suiter, then 2♦ asks suit. Hamdi, you get a yellow card for ... 1. Playing Capp.2. Ignoring 1.3. Bidding 2♣ with that hand. Roland P.S. OleBerg forgot to add æøåäö&%¤¤¤!, which translates to "Among the silly bids I have encountered since 1954, this has got to win first prize". ;)

I think they are not Greyhound tickets! When righty starts with 15-17 1NT what's wrong to use Capp by South's collection?

Fluffy
4♥, I have a second option wich is a 2♦ transfer to put RHO on lead against 4♥ (and let partner pass 2♦ if the hand is what hamdi suggests lol). But not worth the effort of giving up pressure.

Reminds me of a hand here my partner opened 1♦ and went for -1400. * He still opened next hand 1♦. *: Our team mates bid 1♦-p-p-X-p-2♦ NATURAL (and understood, at least they didn't have a missunderstanding lol)
keylime
I would never use Capp here. 1. You know what your hand is. It's hearts. Let them find their potential spade fit at the four level. You attack with these hands, not tip toe around like a celebrity trying to dance the cha-cha. :P And bluntly, bidding 3♥ is a wimpy bid that is trying to hedge the playing potential of the hand. Get on with it, 4♥. 2. Tell pard what to do. If you make a single suited takeout, what happens if pard bids your short suit?! 3. Best of all, you know where everything sits. You're red at IMPs, and there is a nice bonus for bidding and making game.
H_KARLUK
Hola Gonzalo Fluffy, It might be really very easy for any average player to bid 3 or 4H. Most probably 4 even if it may be against the odds (Who knows there are still some wise minds would advise others to bid 3) and perhaps they guess partner has 3055 but nothing. I think they call such positions "knee-jerk" bids in th States. These types of hands have very little to do with expertise. If someone decide to guess opposing hands, why not let partner get the hand I gave to lefty? Then enjoy th slam. Well, anything is possible anytime. So I started to think abt an alternative. True, when I bid 2C partner may never see that this seat has a 8card suit. But also, if overcall side have diamonds then would be available for a cheaper level to show 'em (exactly that might be an advantage when overcaller's partner should have lots of diamonds) Finally I convinced myself for worst scenario and posted that double dummy probability showing sometimes minimum is safe. Hmm maybe I should not play too much RR here ;-)
