Hanoi5
♠Void♥Jxxx♦AKTxxxx♣Tx Partner opens 2♣ FG. You play Kick back Key Card for minors and it goes: 2♣ - 2♥ - 3♦ - Pa3♥ - Pa - 4♦ - Pa4♥ - Pa - 5♥ - Pa6♥ - Pa - ??? Opponents alert 2♥ as natural (you're on a side of the curtain with the 2♥ bidder). What's your bid? After making up your mind (be honest) read this: Opponents are losing this match by A LOT of points
manudude03
Smells like a psyche. I regretfully pass and apologise if the hands a spread. I just don't think you can bid 7 with any real confidence (while its very likely, partner didn't explicitly show the ♣A). I haven't thought about this until now, but I suppose opener could use 5♠,5NT and 6♣ as grand slam probes leaving 6♥ as signoff (6♦ may be taken as choice of slams seeing as you've bid them twice)

Hanoi5
Yeah. 5♥ would show 2 KC and a void.
mike777
Yeah. 5♥ would show 2 KC and a void. I strongly disagree but in any case I do not show a void on this auction, in fact I rarely show a void unless I am certain it is "useful" over kickback. Phil
Should it take us three heart calls from pard to figure out the psyche? I think I would have splintered at some point. Having done none of that I would bid 7♥ now. Edit: Just saw the comments about Kickback. Thats a serious LOL.
jdonn
I bid 5♠ last round. 4♥ is clearly natural (I like to agree 3♥ is natural.)
kenrexford
This is weird. Not so much because of the possibility for a psychic but more because partner is not exposing the psychic well. I think my 5♥ bid was void-indicating, right? But, my void is in the "wrong suit." And then, what is 6♥? As an asking bid in diamonds, it makes no sense. So, I think partner was OK living in diamonds but now is offering a grand in hearts or diamonds, depending on where my void is. 7♥ for me. neilkaz
I think there's a real good chance PD has ♥ on this auction and if he wanted to invite a grand he has other calls possible than 6♥. I pass being unsure whether my void is useful and certainly having bid my ♦ enough.
Finch
Obviously it's nice to have discussed these sequences. I play 3H as natural, and I would have splintered over it (in fact, I might have splintered over it with 5S if I really felt in a dramatic mood and was confident partner would understand). I have a general agreement after opening 2C: "cue bids" of the opponents' suit(s) are natural unless you have previously rejected a chance to penalise the suit.
