A few from Riverside:

You play in 3N (at one point, RHO makes a competitive 2 call). LHO leads the 5 (attititude). You win in hand with the K, duck a club (RHO wins the 10) and the 10 hits the table.

Over to you.

[hv=n=s93haj32dqt732c54&s=skj2hk9dj4caq7632]133|200|[/hv]

You play in 4;

1. 3 to J,

2. trump to K (10 on left),

3. A, 10, 4, 3;

4. 8, Q, K, x

Now what?

Looks that both need table feeling.

On the first one take play K, it has the small chance to create the impression of being played from Kx and we want LHO to continue.

On the second one I will cash second heart before the ruff. Hopping RHO has doubleton trump or not J. Ruffing first might lead to overrufff to west's ace adn another trump.

I think this comes down to "who has A?", if its East we should ruff now and endplay him if he overruffs with doubleton.

There are 2 points against this line: he might not overruff the first club but the second (very impressive line) when we have already destroyed dummy's entries and menace.

But most important, West led a diamodn instead of a spade, adn restricted choice says he is likelly to have A.

If you play the K it loses to the Ace and another heart (the 4) comes back from LHO.

he posted the problems and nobody cared to answer.

On first hand I think we are down unless someone holds both AK.

My guess is that the bidding went: 1NT-(pass)-2-(2)

I think it is more likelly that West has AK , but if he has it I also need K doubleton to suceed.

Also west is allowing me to win 9, maybe on purpose, I don't accept such gifts.

I will cash J+Ace and run clubs then hope East has AK (maybe he bares the ace????)

The first hand is probably too tough LOL. LHO held A, T8754, Kxxx, Jxx. To make you have to either drop the Q or float the 10.

I'll hold off on the 2nd hand, I think its pretty interesting, but no one except Gonzalo has taken a shot.

Congrats to RHO for not play Q on first trick. I am not used of this defences :P

How do you plan on making the contract after playing A if you lose dK to LHO's ace?

Uh you don't. But you can make it if you drop the Q and play the J.
