Obviously, you believe the switch was to a singleton club, and you want to prevent the opponents from getting their ruff. So you win the club and play K, A, and another heart. When LHO does not cover the ♥10, you pitch a diamond from dummy, cutting off the communications between the two hands. From the title to the thread, I can only guess that this is the only way to go down on the hand. That can only be because there is no club ruff but the opps can get a second round heart ruff. The trouble is that if the hand with the A♠ has 3♣ we have just gone down... I think that this is what is happening... So! In this postmortem I will lead a trump now :). The auction because it would be relevant whether RHO could know that his partner had no tricks.
