qwery_hi
I'll try to win 3 clubs, 2 diamonds, 2 hearts and 2 spades. After winning the spade, I cash the ace of clubs, diamond back to hand and then lead the 8 of clubs towards the Q.
JLOL
The problem is if we lose 2 club tricks they can effectively shift to hearts, threatening 2 heart tricks 1 spade and 2 clubs, and we won't have time to set up our spade. Also, if spades are 52 and they pound spades we need the long spade hand to not win the last club. Anyways, if something happens we can always fall back on getting 4 diamond tricks. Looks like club to the queen is best at trick 2 all around. If a heart comes back we can try ducking and hoping the QJ is onside, and if that loses we can try ace of clubs and if the jack doesnt come down run the 9 of diamonds around. If a spade comes back we can try to figure out what to do based on the spade count etc.
cnszsun
How about this line:Win ♠Q, play a ♣ toward 10.Only when rho wins with ♣J and returns a♥, we will face a tough decision (need to guess ♠ or ♥ distribution).
y66
I like that last line. I wonder how you go down on this hand. Does LHO have AT98x QJxxx xx 4 or AT98x QJxx xxx 4? Edit: Maybe RHO shifts to hearts after winning a club and then we have to guess DQ.
