0 carbon
Currently the system assigns colours to players. Red=missing, black=enemy, blue=friend, grey=neutral. Why not allow a greater variety of colours and let each player assign a color to other players. This would make choosing a partner, or avoiding opponents easier. In particular, I have to use "Friend" to ID not just friends, but others who play precision. I would like to have separate colours for the systems I play with them. fred
It is a nice idea (and one we have tossed around before), but if it happens at all it is only likely ever to happen with the web client. The Windows client is basically "frozen" - if there will ever be another new version of that program at all most likely it will only be for the purposes of things like bug fixes. But even for the web client there are some issues I am not sure about: 1) How complex and expensive this would be to manage on the server side. I am guessing it would not be complex to implement but that it would be expensive to send the client the appropriate information. 2) The priority level of implementing this - there are a lot of other improvements we want to make and our first priority right now is bringing the web client up to speed with the Windows client (in terms of functionality).
