Poor partners

Recommended Posts

Also helps if you saw him/her psyche a 1NT opener,

Director! As partners, you are not allowed to use this information. ;)

I use DNP (do not play) on a players profile if I want to avoid playing with or against them.

The only down side in adding comments on their profile is that if you receive an game invite from the player, you don’t see the comment. If they are marked as enemy you can tell.

There is more more about player profiles. That info is hold by BBO only and if you have too much of that stuff some of it will be discarded. So the information as I remember from Uday some years ago.

This means edit player info is good but not water proof. Enemy option is the only water proof option you have.

To mark a player as an enemy has a big inconvenience: If he registers before you do to a tournament, you are not allowed to register. So just the "edit player's notes" is the best option. Of course, you can't access them when you are invited to play or when you are invited to join as a sub.

If a Tournament says "No Enemies" it means enemies of the Tournament Host, not yours. The Host has no idea who your enemies are.

I am happy to play with anyone as a sub, but if you cannot then inform the director who should re-seat you at the first opportunity.

Some of my best friends started out as enemies. lol
