kenberg
This is an interesting list. As the title suggests, I seldom eat any of these foods. I eat a lot of blueberries (not frozen) but that's pretty much it. Sixty years ago, as a child, there were several items on this list that I ate regularly. We had a garden and the beets, cabbage and swiss chard that we grew were a regular part of my diet. Usually the beets were cooked but definitely not always. I often had sardines. Cinnamon appeared regularly on foods. Dried plums (prunes) were sometimes cooked, sometimes not, but often eaten. I never heard of Jonny Bowden but if he is right about this list it may well be that I ate much better as a child in the forties, even with the wartime rationing, than many children do now. Something to think about.

jtfanclub
I like the ones that say "This may fight cancer because it's, y'know, red". I think 1-3 on the list are seriously overrated, and mainly a fad. All three are virtually indigestable, and I can't believe that they're all that healthy for you. Fruit, seeds, fish, roots, and nuts (odd they don't have any of the last on the list) for a long and healthy life. Dunno if tree bark is actually good for you or not.
