This hand is quite powerful, and either we can ruff a couple of spades or opponents have a big fit there (and may still get there over 3♦).I would bid 4♦ which should be a mixed raise, not preemptive, in this position. This hand also isn't good enough for me to call 4♦ as I've seen too many PD's overcall 2♦ on junk (noting that I overcall aggressively anyhow, but these overcalls are from outer space somewhere) 3♦ is forward going enough for me, and often buys the hand when we have no game and doesn't prevent PD with a max from taking another call. Anyway, I bid 3♦ and LHO bid 3♠ which was the final contract.
