MFA
4♣. I'm not going past 4♠ myself.
Apollo81
4♣, partner has promised absolutely nothing yet on this auction -- I won't go past 4♠ on my own.
skjaeran
4♣ cuebid. Over 4♦ I KC, over 4M I'm stopping at game level. 2♠ is GF for me, and 3♠ is a slam try. I expect to get to at least 6♠, but we might be off ♦AK.
whereagles
Tempted to bid a 4♦ psychic cue, but that doesn't work because pard will bid 4♠ due to lack of club control. So that leaves a cunning 4NT or a scientific 4♣.
ochinko
I voted for 4♠ but after seeing the other votes I realized I made a mistake, and 4♣ (cue) is the right bid as we are a trick better than if we were 4=2=2=5 or 4=1=3=5 with the same strength. mikeh
I am assuming that we bid up the line... if not, then that info should (and would, I expect) have been specified. I'd also like to know if we played any special meaning for 2N, over our 2♠... eg as a prelude to a weakness call. However, I am assuming that we can take the auction at face value.. partner has 4+ diamonds and a hand that suggests raising spades. As such, it doesn't take much for us to have slam, so we have to make a move. I see zero reason to fake a diamond control... I am always amused when I see people post suggestions for esoteric bidding in simple, uncontested, constructive auctions. I would have thought that 4♣ would be the near-unanimous choice. Can any of the non-4♣ bidders suggest a sensible reason NOT to make the call?
Codo
Can any of the non-4♣ bidders suggest a sensible reason NOT to make the call? Maybe: Boring, dull, standard and not sexy, not esoteric, not fancy, not exotic? You know, when you have no sexy and fancy life, you may invent some bids to get these adjectives at least in one part of your life... Of course I bid 4 ♣. As boring as my life. :)
jdeegan
 4♣ - pretty easy auction if partner bids 4♦ - trot out RKC or Josephine if playing in an old fashioned game where 4♦ promises the ace and 5NT is GSF. If partner bids 4♠ over 4♣, I have to make another try with 5♥. We may have to play 6NT to protect the ♦ Kx.
