fred
You can update your BBO installation at: www.bridgebase.com/beta372/bbo_update.exe or reinstall everything (including all the latest files) at: www.bridgebase.com/beta372/bbo_setup.exe I suggest you go the upgrade route, but however you chooseto do this, make sure you have exited the BBO programCOMPLETELY before you start the upgrade procedure. There is only one new feature in 3.7.2 (I think...): TDs can now specify the starting times of their tournamentsin terms of days, hours, and minutes (instead of just minutes). The main purpose of 3.7.2 is to fix the bugs that peoplefound in 3.7.1. Thanks to everyone who helped with this! Our plan is to start the process by which everyone who logsin to BBO will automatically download a new version withinthe next couple of days. If no problems are found in 3.7.2then that will be the version that we release. The reason we are announcing 3.7.2 here and now is that wehope that some of our more dedicated members (many of whomalso happen to read Forums) will be willing to give 3.7.2 a tryand let us know if they find any problems. This will increase ourchances of getting things right before we inflict 3.7.2 (or whatever)on the masses. If you do find a problem you can either post the details hereor send me an e-mail: fred@bridgebase.com Thanks again to everyone who helps us out by testing ournew versions. Your contributions make it possible for us togreatly speed up our development cycle and lead to a betterBBO for everyone. fred
TD directors are gonig to love the new way to handle starting time. Thanks Fred :-) Ben You're welcome, Ben, but it's really Gweny you should thank. The programming for this took only a few minutes, but it wouldnot have occurred to me to add this feature except that Gwenymade it clear how important it was. julie5607
Updated to 3.7.2 this morning and need to report a strange behavior in the vugraph theatre - when switching to lobby or tables view the background is black (not sure if that is a bug or a feature) and in lobby view if I rest my mouse on a name the pop-up that comes up for that name (so and so is doing such and such) doesn't clear when I move my mouse to the next name. All of the balloon pop-ups stay in the lobby view, one tiled over the other, till I switch views and it is refreshed. As I was typing this I decided to see what would happen at a regular playing table, and the effect there was the same. I am using Windows XP home edition, and I tried logging out and in again to see if that would solve the issue, it didn't. Thanks, Julie
