Talking is needed sometimes

Hi all, I´ve find this problem already twice:

 

I played on a tourney, and then on a team match, both times got connection problem and I was substituted, nothing wrong by now, but I could recover after some trouble.

 

The problem is getting back, and then you can see your sit is covered and often they see you (sometimes no) and you cannot say even 'sorry', ,the last time, on the team match it was even worse, they saw me and started asking me to leave as kibitzer so I could rejoin my sit.... what a Deal, I had clicked on movie, and knew the result of the next 3 hands at the other table, so I wanted to ask to not be replaced again... impossible, I found myself sitting back, forced to play with ilegal info.

 

At least for team matches, I suggest 1 of these 3 things:

 

-Let an option to let kibitzers talk to a table, and only directly to a table, hard to imagine how can this hurt the match progress, unless they start talking what they shouldn´t, then abuse has work to do.

 

-If afraid of the last, keep a track of wich players have played the match, and let only them to talk to the table, or both tables, or whatever.

 

-Let 2 kind of kibitzing options: no talking kibitz, and talking kibitz, the second one needing permision on most tourneys of course, this way you will let talk only wich ones you knwo aren´t going to damage.

Why don't you message the Tournament Host and/or the Director/s (if you know who they are) from the Lobby ?

 

Being the Host sure doesn't stop people getting messages through to me !! Then if I am not Directing and the message is relevant for the Director I pass it on to the one it concerns.

 

If a member asks me to pass on a message to a player (and Hosts/TDs can talk to any and all ) and if I deem it relevant I do that for them.

I thought you couldn't send messages to playing TDs/Hosts... Which in a lot of team matches would cause a problem with your solution.

in tourneys: ALLOW UNDO will leave tournament chat open for players&kibs if they are allowed, so u can reach a playing td( bad thing imho a single playing td, but its a free world)

 

 

in teammatches u have couple of options 1. allow kib(then they can talk to table)

2.alllow kib silent (then they cant talk to table d`oh) 3. do not allow kib

 

 

couple of personal remarks, if u want to reenter anywhere u off course are not going to that match/tourney and start looking at movies, if u do/done that and they sub u in, inform them and get out.Cant kib on anything u want to play in , not when u try to return or as a sub!!!major reason why we in our tourneys DO NOT allow ANY REPLACED player back in

 

if kib chat is on , ask a kib to tell host that u are back.

If kib chat is not on, ask a friendly yellow to pass message to host for you

Mark a host as friend before entering teammatch/tourney, easier to find them, can always remove him after as friend with a click of a mouse.

I think your solution about talking to yellow, or kibber (if allowed to talk) are the best options for the time being...

defenition of "friendly yellow": yellowcoated bbo member ,online ,not on be right back, not playing ,not occupied elsewhere(vugraph, talking to me he he :( , e.o )

 

 

Havent met a unfriendly yellow sofar (all i know are very friendly and helpfull)
