I think it is likely that we will be able to offer you a way to do this within the next few months, but I can't make any promises. If we do come up with a solution, it is likely to be non-specific as far as the iPhone is concerned - it will be something that works on just about any mobile device that can run a web browser. B)I havent tried it yet either, my iPhone is just 6 days old (thanks Santa) but as long ago as July I got a message in Windows Live Messenger from a friend who was simulataneously watching his kids play soccer and logged into BBO. I think he was watching an NABC final cos he also mentioned the lack of results on the acbl website. From the soccer he said "so i'm VNC'd to my study desktop". So I am guessing that is was some distance, perhaps several kilometres. In retrospect it sounds like he was logged into BBOTV. nickfsydney

keylime
I might set this up via Terminal Services - there's a rudimentary client for the iPhone that does this.

fred
I am not sure if this is clear to everyone (and I am not sure that I am right) but I think: BBO is not actually running on the iPhone. It is running on some other computer that the iPhone is controlling and whose screen the iPhone is displaying. For those of you who have tried it, I would be curious to know how often the screen updates (and if my explanation of what is really going on is accurate). keylime
Fred, I decided to give it a stab, for the sake of science. :D I used RDP to remote into the machine from my iPhone, the standard resolution needed adjustment downward to 800 by 600, and the BBO windows client itself was rather plain. I was able to chat, I was able to view tourney listing, and I could watch the JEC team game as one of the pairs bid to slam, with relatively decent refresh rates. I used my wireless connection for this. In theory, I think you can use this mechanism to play BBO. It's bulky and cumbersome, but feasible. Fred GitelmanBridge Base Inc.www.bridgebase.com Fred is completely correct in his assessment and yes, the interface is clunky when attempting to play or navigate on an iPhone. But still, it was a fun exercise. nickfsydney
