cherdano
Is Qx AK-7th Kx xx a 4♥ bid? I don't think so, so I would play a spade back. Depending on your field, this could well be a top when others in my situation don't open in 3rd seat.
Fluffy
thx for your reply Arend, At the table I went for spade as well, declarer had Kx AKJxxxx Kx xx
xcurt
If partner has the ♠K and not the ♦A he should definitely lead the king and not a low spade. So I think a diamond is clear.
dcvetkov
Declarer has lots of entries in trumps, and you see it is just too likely he can establish clubs with one ruff. Best chance for cash out is D switch, and you have only one chance.
Fluffy
lol, the voting between spades and diamonds was even this morning, but after posting the full hand everyone votes for diamonds :D
dburn
Would play a spade at matchpoints, a diamond at any other form of scoring.
whereagles
Since it's likely declarer has ♥AK 7th and you know clubs break, he probably has 11 tricks if he gets the lead. It's a bit of a guess, though we know opener has either the ♠Q or K (with both pard would have led the K). The ♠2 indicates declarer might very well have the ♠K because with the Q2 he might have tried a sneaky Q, hoping to induce a switch to diamonds.
