kenrexford
I have been trying to determine what the pros and cons are to different software packages for learning new languages. Like, Rosetta Stone, Berlitz, Rocket, etc. However, when I look for unbiased reviews, I get a lot of websites from places I've never heard of. I also found out that some of these companies sue each other for unfair marketing practices on line. Hence, I cannot trust anything I have seen so far. Any advice from anyone who knows? matmat
i tried picking up some french form one of the (older, i think) berlitz packages. it drove me absolutely nuts. it was, imo, too slow and utterly boring. I quit trying after the first one or two cds. i've been eying rosetta stone, but have not heard things about it from anyone and am not willing to shell out the necessary cash just to try it. cherdano
I liked Rosetta stone, but can't compare it to anything else. It's overpriced though, of course.
