babalu1997
does anyone have an online reference for a bidding system for goulash games? thanks
Free
No, but all you need is a pass! :)
helene_t
shape first. no multi since partner might be able to see you have the suit you havent, lol.
cherdano
Very constructive preempts, penalty doubles is probably a good start. Probably just all natural (no strong opening!) and some two-suiters for the NT openings would make a lot of sense.
Fluffy
the basic goulash I know: 1x = 6+ cards1NT= 12-17 might have shortness2x = Natural forcing, specific ace asking2NT 18-22, might have shortness.3x preemptive

My thoughts as well. What about: Pass: 0-13 (semi)bal or 44411♣: 14+ idem1♦ through 1NT: unbal with 5-7 cards (NT shows clubs) and no 5-card side suit, any strength.2♣ through 3♣: specific 5+/5+ combinations (six openings for six combos) any strength.3♦ through 3NT: 8+ cards (NT shows clubs) and no 5-card side suit, any strength. Gerben42
Play Fantunes with a 12 - 17 NT opening showing many shapes ;)
the hog
Backroom is the usual high stakes rubber bridge system. Strong NT, strong 2 openings. No fancy stuff.
