Hanoi5
If I don't play 1NT as showing the unbid suits with a more distributional, I'd bid it. Double is my next option. Pass I don't like but it comes third.
MarkDean
Pass. I do not even see what else I am supposed to consider.
TylerE
Agreed, pass. 15 HCPs, but very little in the way of actual tricks, looks promising on defense.
neilkaz
Agreed, pass. 15 HCPs, but very little in the way of actual tricks, looks promising on defense. Also passing.
Cascade
I am happy to pass with this.
655321
Pass for me too, although I don't need too much more to bid 1NT. I might add that I would happily overcall 1NT with this hand if RHO dealt and opened the bidding.
TylerE
I don't like a 1N overcall over a hypothetical RHO's opening either. The more I think about, the more I like the idea of playing 1NT as like 17 (possibly a very, very good 16) to 19.

maggieb
Very risky to come in here but I think many underestimate how risky it can be to pass. If I was playing against my friends Susan and Marge I would definitely bid 1NT, we could have slam! :) Against most opponents I would pass, but I consider it close. In direct seat I would overcall for sure.
Winstonm
Pass. Sometimes it's the better part of valor.

jillybean
Its taken a while but Ive learned its best to pass these. The dreaded 4333
benlessard
With the strenght behind me and a 4333 I dont mind passing at all.
OleBerg
Pass. Once in a while, they rob me blind, but often I will get hurt.

CSGibson
1N if I play it as 15-18 here. Pass if I've agreed to sandwich NT or some other thing. There are just too many light openers/responses for me to give up on my constructive auction now.
whereagles
I'm happy to pass throughout. This is a partscore deal and we seem to have no suit.

Finch
I play 1NT as natural, but it shows a better hand than this. This is a very marginal 1NT overcall of a 1D opening, and a 4th seat NT should be slightly stronger. Pass seems obvious.
mtvesuvius
LOL Exactly!... I pass.
han
The player at the table did bid 1NT and was rewarded when his partner bid 3NT and he scored up +600. Maybe he knew his customers, lefty opened on a poor 11-count and righty had a queen and two jacks.
Codo
Do you have the complete hand avaiable? Was it really needed to come in now because else the bidding will be somewhere where ou cannot compete any further?
