1) double, 3 or 3, neither seems like a big mistake to me. I like 3 the most.

2) double, second choice is 4, we are too strong to pass.

3) whatever you do be consequent, not strong enough for 2?, then you are not strong enough for bidding anything now.

1. Double.

2. Pass.

3. Pass followed by 1S.

My first instinct on 1 was to bid 3C but I don't see how that could be better than double. If partner converts we have two aces. It's very unlikely that partner pulls to 3H but maybe he'll bid 2NT and then we can bid 3H.

I think 2 and 3 are completely clear.

1) Double.

2) Double.

3) Pass, then 1.

Agree with Han about (1) - except that doubling then bidding 3 sounds forcing?

If the K was somewhere else, bidding on (2) would be a WTP. The actual hand is much closer, but I still bid.

(3) is a WTP. Passing then bidding 2, as apparently happened in (1) is silly. If you are worth 2 (you aren't, R/W), then open it 2. But the guidelines for a R/W 2 bid are not the same as the guidelines for a 1 overcall, so I don't understand a second Pass here.

I think exactly the opposite (assuming you meant 'consistent' ;)). If your system doesn't let you bid spades on either round then it's ineffective, you should be able to bid one time or the other.

1) double

2) pass but close

3) never 2s...now one spade

I thought 1 and 3 were easy, 2 was tough

1. 3

2. X

3. pass and 2 . If this is a fit jump in your methods, 1 . To me 2 is a weak two, which could not be open in first seat, so normally too weak, or with a four card side major, or with wrong honour location.
