ArtK78
[hv=d=e&v=n&s=saj9xhkdaqt9cakjx]133|100|Scoring: MP(2♥) - x - (P) - 2NT*(P) - ?[/hv] You are South, and you are in direct seat over the 2♥ bid. 2NT was Lebensohl. (1) What is your action over your partner's 2NT call? (2) If you decide to bid 3NT (and I am not saying that 3NT is or is not my choice), if it goes Double on your left, pass, pass, back to you, what now? movingon
How about 3 ♥ instead of 3nt? SOS redouble if you bid 3nt and it is doubled.
keylime
I love 3H. 3Nt tho is attractive too.
TylerE
3♥, no problem yet. 3rd call might be a bit more interesting
whereagles
As wierd as it sounds, this time I do care about stoppers. The reason is LHO starting with a heart to RHO's AQJT and not many here will duck the heart to the singleton king. So basically that leaves a 3♥ bid. If pard doesn't help with hearts, we'll play 4m. ArtK78
You realize that partner will declare 3NT? The weak 2 bidder will be on lead.
kenrexford
You realize that partner will declare 3NT? The weak 2 bidder will be on lead. So, the lead will be a small heart, in theory. 3NT for me. If doubled, I'll chicken out and bid 4♥.
han
3NT.
ArtK78
Han, you made a very short answer. But you did not respond to the second question. You bid 3NT. LHO doubles. It goes pass, pass, back to you. what now?
han
Oh I forgot about that when I was reading the other answers. I would redouble. I expect partner to pull with a bust and without a heart stopper.

Sometimes K opposite Jxx is a stopper, but I would have pulled with the weak hand if given an option. I bid 2NT intending to pass 3♣. Perhaps I should have bid 2♠, although that would probably result in 4♠x. In any event, my pard passed 3NTx and the opponents had lots of tricks, as the weak 2 bidder had Q9xxxx of hearts. jdonn
I actually like 3NT, and of course I would redouble after being doubled, I don't have THAT much of a death wish. Even if they did underlead the heart ace at trick 1, I am quite far from staring at 9 tricks.

mcphee
There are times when you would like to take a shot and bid 3N, but this is not what I like here and would advance with 3H after the 2N lebensohl relay. After the move I will respect what partners bids, passing 4 of a minor and 3S (obviously a 3 bagger).

mikeh
I think that double, then 3♥ over the lebensohl 2N is the best bid, by a significant margin. The reason I don't like 3N over 2N is that even if we escape disaster on the opening lead (and we rate to do so most times) we really have no source of tricks... we need partner to have a little something, and often-times that little something will include something in hearts, and he will bid 3N. IOW, I would expect that 3♥ would get us to a significant number of making games and keep us out of a significant number of failing games, while 3N is an outright gamble that won't significantly improve the number of times we reach a good game. As it is, I'd like to be playing redouble as expressing doubt, but absent that agreement, I'd pull to 4♣.. I have a very, very clear understanding of the double... he holds the heart A, some length, and some strength.

Maybe it does. I know that 4♥ cannot be misunderstood, but that is probably too rich. I thought about 4♣ also, but I thought that sounds like a semi-Gambling call (long club trick source and stiff heart King?).
cherdano
I would have bid 3♥ rather than 3N.
