mpefritz
What sound is associated with a pop-up invite for a tournament? I have turned off sound for public chat, but have allowed private chat noise (Homer Simpson). I do have permission request noise allowed also. I was signed up as a sub while doing some work, but failed to be alerted that an invite was made to me. fritz
inquiry
I am not sure what sounds are associated with what, since I don't play sounds while I am on the BBO. However, I do know that there is a directory under bridge base online directory that is entitled netsounds. In that directory you will find WAV files with associated file names, for examle, ALERT.WAV which is the sound that is made when someone alerts a bid. You can click on each of these to see what they sound like. And you can substitute a different WAV file for one of these if you would like to hear some other sound when that file is called. (I would save the original files somewhere else in case you decide later you like the orginals better). You can open your windows explorer and click your way through these sounds to see what they sound like. Ben
mpefritz
Ben I did that. Long ago, I replaced the chat wav with Homer Simpson (Woo-Hoo!) and the undo (which also serves as claim) with "D'oh!" My question is: Is there a sound associated with a pop-up invite? If not, could it be labelled as private chat? If it is associated with the public chat routine (which is the same sound as private, but i have turned off public chat sound), could it be changed to a private chat assignment? This might be a question for Uday or Fred. fritz
fred
Sorry - there is currently no sound for a tourney invite. Good idea to add one. Look for this in a future version... Fred GitelmanBridge Base Inc.www.bridgebase.com
