kenrexford
Rather than hijack, I thought I'd toss this out separately. There was some debate about a fact that many find frustrating -- silence from the C&C Committee of the ACBL. Some facts may be of interest in this debate. The ACBL maintains "Codified Minutes" that contain the regulations of the ACBL Board of Directors that are currently in effect. According to 5.4.1, the C&C Committee is required to provide a "report" of the meeting of the C&C Committee to the ACBL Board of Directors "as soon as possible" after each and every NABC. According to 7.2, the CEO is required to provide necessary staff support to each committee. No position on the debate -- just an observation. xcurt
Ken, you're worrying about the symptoms. There are some really dedicated people working in bridge but the ACBL has a big, sclerotic board with tremendous incumbency advantages. The usual political effects follow. By any common measure of corporate governance, the ACBL gets an F.
