After 1♣-1M// 2♦ in Polish ♣, which is best in WJ2005:

 

a) Matula's "complex" relay structure-2D=18+ HCP "balanced"

 

B) Odwrotka-2D=3+ fit 18+ HCP

.....basically standard 4455

 

c) The new "natural" approach suggested by Jassem

.....2D=<4-fit 18+ HCP and 2NT=4+ fit and 18+ HCP

.....both with natural continuations

Are you asking which to use? Its not close in my view - Matula's structure.

I use bubrotka too, but I still wait for it to pay. Up to now we just had the first three answers, so maybe an even easier system had been enough.

The version of PC I played was MickyB's which essentially used Matula's structure I think.

Bubrotka is an improvement over Odwrotka (445566), don't know about the other methods. We also had the 3M-answers in addition to 2M and 2NT, they were helpful.

I use bubwrotka with those I play polish club with. It's simple enough, gets the job done. I have no complaints. The higher bids don't come up too often, but when they do they work well because they are more specific (by design).

 

Bubwrotka:

2♥ = Weak 4

2♠ = Strong 4

2NT = Strong 5

3♣ = 9-11, 4M, 5+Cs

3♦ = 9-11, 4M, 5+Ds

3♥ = Weak, 5, unbalanced

3♠ = Weak, 5, balanced

3NT = Weak, 6+, no shortness

4x = Weak, 6+, splinter

I have to admit that having had the experience of trying to learn WJ2005, I will say your structure is pretty simple and easy to grasp.
