4♥ on 2, pass on the other two. The problem with bidding on hand 3 is that RHO will double and you can't run properly - RHO will double on any 'good raise'.

Ill get some -800 fairly often but ill push them to go off fairly often too. Im not planning to pull the X.

1. 4♠: it is a tough job, but it is my job

 

2. 4♥: passing is too deep and doubling is silly

 

3. pass: this is an extraordinarily dangerous auction, and partner, who has more hcp than we do, did not bid... rho could easily be 3=4=3=3 with 15 hcp or so. Bidding could lead to -1100 even when we actually have a good save available... we can get to one black suit, but not to both.

My options are:

In real life only bidding on first board was a big winner, as long as 4♥ and 4♠ were both cold. On second 4♥ got punished for -800 (yes, preempts work), and on third 4♠ got doubled for down one (4♥ was down one too)

I guess we shouldn't play together Edi :) Rethinking 4♠ on the first one is quite reasonable, but it doesn't sound sincere now.

I would bid my major on all three. Surprised people are passing on the third one, I think it is extremely obvious at favorable.

Not that the first 2 bids are risk free but they seem a reasonnable shot. do not like 4♠ on 3 especially against precision as I could go for a number while 4♥ is not even making : seems partner is loaded in ♥ or we are heavily outpowered

I dont know if 4S in example 3 is that obvious but its way less dangerous than in example 1. I would need to smoke fairly strong stuff to bid 4S on hand 1 and pass on hand 3. Understanding VUL and its consequence is not obvious.
