Universal language translator

Recommended Posts

Main idea is any language include limited number of main parts like nouns, verbs, adjectives ... They can be coded for any language (example: 1=noun, 2=verb ...) during translation of words. Computer then will be able to analyse syntax and formulate meaning of content on any language.

What do you think, is above idea applicable to bridge systems?

After one course of natural langueges i can tell you that its really cool but far from easy.

Lots of work have been done on the subject, i think there are some contests, its is also what turing set as the test for AI.

I know there is a computer robot on the net that you can talk to and do some primitive programming to.

good luck

P.S. The above is recognisably English, isn't it? There's just one Bulgarian word thrown in, cos I don't remember the English equivalent - but it should be no problem for speakers of English to find it :)
