No pre-disclosure or no disclosure

This is a theoretical question.

Do you think its possible to have a branch of bridge on which there should not be given pre-disclosure, meaning you will tell your opponents about the bid partner made only after she made it. Or maybe even no disclosure at all ?

I think it is possible and could be interesting and fun maybe mostly for young players who suppose to have good memory and some spare time.

Basically it will bring some homework into the game.

What do you think ?

I played in an event like that yesterday. It was an ACBL-BBO speedball. The opponents had sayc convention cards, but freely used their own conventions and carding agreements without telling us. I found it more annoying than fun.

"No disclosure" would mean that you should make bidding and carding agreements that are difficult to decrypt. For example udca in the pointed suits and std in rounded suits if vul, otherwise the opposite. I think it would be quite exhausting.

No pre-disclosure would be more interesting. But again, I think I prefer bridge.

I could see it deteriorating to something like happens on Yahoo Spades.

"Don't play against these two, they are a partnership and have played before."

"Yeah. They must be cheating."

As far as I understood it, Spades *is* a partnership game. But apparently, people that play together a lot are considered cheats.

Basically, I can imagine something like it in person, but think it would be awful online.
