Of course there is no need for north to do anything more if all south can do over the double is bid 3♥ and not even jump to game.

 

The only difference I could really picture is north bidding 3♠ over 3♥, in case south had decided to make this bid with 3-3 in the majors.

I kibbed this, and I found your bid tough, very tough.

I think I would have made a neg. X, the alternative

being 4D, if you think the hand worth a game force.

I had bid 3 NT with Czabas hand, but that had been no success, so in the post mortem I agree with the way the other contributors bid it to 4 HEart.

 

As we are allowed to critizise the bidding:

I belive that a direct 1 Spade followed by a Heart bid had described the shape much better. And I had bid this hand with this shape as a game forcing. This is not just "6-8 HCPS".
