deep
Sistem natural 4° nobile [hv=d=n&v=b&s=saj87hkq643d843cj]133|100|Scoring: MP[/hv] North 1♦ - (pass) south 1♥ -(pass)North 2♣ (pass) South?I think 2♠ or 3♦But I am not convinced for both the solutions
hrothgar
Huh... Neither 2♠ nor 3♦ is remotely appealing. I consider both sigificant overbids. I'm torn betwen 2NT and 2♦. I'd probably bid 2♦, which maximizes our bidding space...
whereagles
The hand is worth an invitation and the correct bid is 3♦. If North accepts the invitation, he should bid 3♥ with 3 cards, so that the 5-3 heart fit is not lost.

P_Marlowe
You missed an alternative: 2NT. And it would be helpful, if you could state, which suitopener would choose to open with 4-4 in the minors. The problem with 2S is, that it is FSF, i.e. not natural,it would ask for 3 hearts, and for a stopper, so the bidis out. One could say, that 2NT and 3D are slight underbids, although not much, because they are just invites, if you want to play game (not unreasonable), bid 2S. Most likely I would go with 2NT. helene_t
2♠ would be the 4th suit convention. It forces to game. The hand is not strong enough for that. 2NT for me. 3♦ is fine, too, especially if opener has promised five diamonds.
