Hanoi5
[hv=n=shakqxxxdqxcqj87x&s=sajt9xh8xxdaxxcax]133|200|[/hv] You got to 6NT (you weren't able to stop at 6♥ because of a misunderstanding). The defense starts with a small club on which you play the Queen from the table and your RHO covers with the King and you win your Ace, what's next? 655321
Well, there are a few things here. First, a diamond to the queen is a 0% play. If the King is onside, they win it and return a diamond, and you go down. Second, the club pips are important. Did LHO lead a 4th best 2? A top of nothing 6? Third, I don't like the play to trick 1. Assuming you have 6 heart tricks, a spade and a diamond, you need 4 club tricks to make. Depending on the club pip that was led, if you play the ♣7 at trick 1, and play LHO for the 9 or the ten, you will make 4 club tricks by winning the first trick, with the Ace if RHO covers with the 9 or the 10, and lead a club back to the 8. After the trick 1 error, you need to lead a club, probably playing the Jack and another, making when clubs are 3-3, or when RHO has K9 or KT. han
Useless to give this problem without the club spots.
