Coping with an enemy jump overcall

Playing vanilla 2/1 with agreed upon sound openings, red v white at IMPs, you hold:

T T62 9653 AKJT3

and see (P)-1-(3)-? to you. What action do you take?

If you pass, is

T T962 653 AKJT3

enough of a change to get a negative double from you?

Pass is both cases. P most likely has a weak NT...I don't really forsee taking that many tricks. Yes, I'm selling out and I don't like it. Bidding could easily result in -200 on a bad day, don't feel like there is an obvious plus to protect against, so I'll take my +50 or +100 defending 3.

I would bid 4 on the first. 4432 with partner would suck but I would just consider it very unlucky if partner had that. I generally want to be in there if he has other shapes since he is probably too long in spades to reopen.

On the second I would double, it's pretty sick but it just feels right to me to be in there. If partner passes I don't expect a huge number (though we might....), but I don't see it as a problem either.

The first hand, probably 4, but I find this one tough.

In favor of bidding is that we have the spade shortage, and a fit for partner.

Against bidding is that we don't have that great of a hand, we would be bidding at the 4 level, and yes, partner often does have a weak notrump.

I don't like double though.

I double on the second hand, and feel comfortable doing it.
