I was concerned because my partner on that hand was an "expert". I have some doubt whether he really is an expert. An expert would set the suit first if he wanted to RKC, and certainly would not use 4NT out of the blue as quantitative when opener's hand is still undefined as to strength. Well a real expert will play practical bridge,i.e. he wont risk a long convoluted auction,which partner may or may not understand,going via FSF is always dangerous, sincethere is no universal standard. So if he believed, that RKCB would help himto decide, which level to play, he would choosethe bid, keep it simpe.
