I voted No.

Just two comments:

With a pickup p, the auction is nonforcing.

In a regular SAYC partnership, I would assume, that

3C did create a GF, hence 3H is forcing.

I would treat it similar too an Acol seq., where 2H

would just be RF, but 3C would promise add. strength,

making the seq. GF.

With kind regards

I think we ca make some simple rules: wheever a 2 of opener suit is avaliable like in 1H-1S-2D-P, a bid like 3C creates a GF, but when 2 of opener's suit isnt avaliable like in this post then this bid isnt creating a GF.

in any case a bid above 3 of opener's suit like in 1C-1S-2H-P- 3D creates a GF.

I accept that 3C does not have to promise extra's (..Is 3C forcing?) and that 3H is not forcing. Now I wonder what to bid with following 2 hands:

1D-(1S)-2H-(p)

3C-(p)-

You have:

xx=AKQxxx=Qx=Kxx

What do you bid?

4H, 3S followed by 4H?

Here your Hearts are good enough to bid 4H, but what with:

Ax=KJxxxx=Qx=Kxx

... I agree.

I simply overlooked the fact that 2D was not allowed,

and that opener has to find a bid with 5-5.

Playing that 3H is NF creates problems, on the example hands you would like to bid 3H but you can't. This is very common in bride and you'll just have to make the best of it.

I think you'll start with 3S on both hands, then wait to see how fast partner bids 3NT. (I'm joking Phil and Josh!)

Definitely 3. And han doesn't joke, he simply makes snide remarks.
