ArtK78
Double. I would say that this is a fairly normal action with 5 hearts and less than game invitational values.
kfay
2♥, this is routine, cause I'm a PH.
gwnn
Sorry, auction was wrong. it was p-p-1♦-1♠ and not 1♣-1♠ as originally posted
jdonn
I think this is a minimum but very normal 2♥ bid as a passed hand. It's just too likely a spade raise is coming so I want to show the fifth heart, and that would also leave me very well placed to bid 3♣ next. ArtK78
Sorry. Didn't notice that I was a passed hand. 2♥. Can I change my vote in the poll?
skjaeran
Agree with 2♥ here, as a passed hand. It's a dead minimum regaring high card strength, but the suit is good and I've got a nice side suit too. We might easily have game vs an ordinary opening.

Ant590
Ok, I'm being dumb here... why does it matter if you're a passed hand or not?

pclayton
Double. Yes I notice we are a passed hand. Consider this: 2♥ only caters to a 5-3, and pard will sometimes bid 2♥ himself. Double brings clubs into the picture. Double allows us to play 2♦. I would need a great 8 count to make a 2♥ call. Aceless and a possible misfit? Er no. jdonn
2♥ only caters to a 5-3, and pard will sometimes bid 2♥ himself.- He usually won't.- If he passes with 3, you stop lower than if you double and he bids 2♥ which I assume you are raising.- If he passes with a doubleton, you are probably in a pretty good contract, especially compared to if he would have bid 2♦ over a double. So it caters to more than a 5-3. Double brings clubs into the picture. It does? I think we are more likely to find clubs if I bid 2♥, since 2♠ p p 3♣ is very likely. Double allows us to play 2♦.This is a good thing? I would need a great 8 count to make a 2♥ call. Aceless and a possible misfit? Er no.Every hand that has not yet located a fit is a possible misfit. I like my odds of finding a fit when I'm 5-5 though. I'm keeping the comments bridge related, but I think you're really missing the boat on this one.
