jdonn
3♥ is forcing, invitational bids 3♥ over 2♦.
DrTodd13
For me, 2♥ is weak and to play, 3♥ is invite and cue-bidding first and then bidding 3♥ would be forcing.
P_Marlowe
Hi, What was 2D, what was 2S? Not playing Precision, but 3H certainly sounds forcing, an inv. hand with 6 hearts, could have been bid 3Hdirect without going via the cue. helene_t
Hi InTime, welcome to the forum! Agree with others that 3♥ is forcing.
jdonn
I should also mention, for a first time poster, nice formatting on the auction! Very easy to read.

SoTired
3H is forcing because 2S created a game-force

InTime
Hi, What was 2D, what was 2S? Not playing Precision, but 3H certainly sounds forcing, an inv. hand with 6 hearts, could have been bid 3Hdirect without going via the cue. With kind regardsMarloweAccording to me, 2D was a suit because 1D in Precision does not necessarily promise diamonds. 2S was asking for a spade stop. After the 3H (forcing), opener can now still bid 3NT with no tolerance for hearts - already denied a spade stop by bidding 3C. This leaves it to responder to decide the contract. Anyway, 3NT was the better contract.
gwnn
I agree with everybody, except I'm not sure 2♠ created a GF. I would tend to think opener's 2NT rebid is NF and maybe 3m also (i.e. responder would like to compete in something but is not sure what minors opener has). This argument is fine, ... if you had bid direct 2D over 1D,but after 2C, which was alerted as 5-4 in the minors, you arebidding their suit, which could even be a 5 carder. If this is natural or not is up to you, but for me biddingtheir suit is always artificial, unless I have specificallydiscussed it. But, I think what everybody is saying that bidding 3♥ after the 2♠ created a GF.
gwnn
Yep 2♠ and then 3♥ is clearly a GF. I should have qouted the post I was partially disagreeing with :) 3H is forcing because 2S created a game-force
