matmat
[hv=n=shd7654c&w=s2h2d32c&e=s3haqd8c&s=sahk3dac]399|300|[/hv] Lead is in dummy (west hand).Contract is 4♣, declarer has already lost one trick. declarer claims 2/4 without stating the line and is rejected. this is the last table playing. N has not shown out of hearts yet, declarer has count on ♣, but not on anything else. director adjusts the board to making after the rejected claim. thoughts? jillybean
What was the director smoking? Without a stated line of play the director cant accept any line of play which depends on finding one opp with a particular card. (Unless one op has shown out previously)
DrTodd13
I think if you claim making in this situation with no explanation that the director must then choose a reasonable line of play that is most beneficial to the defenders. In this case, that would be the failing heart finesse. So, I would assign -1 here. There is no way to continue play after this claim. blackshoe
Director needs to read his law book.
