Then I click on the "chat" button, the chat dialogue box appears and my retype will appear. Other times during the play, and particularly at the end of a hand my chat won't appear. I have to click on the "chat" dialogue box, retype, and then it appears. What's up with this "hanging chat" problem? :) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
inquiry Posted February 20, 2003 Report Share Posted February 20, 2003 I have seen both of the "bugs" also. I don't think this is a major issue. What I think might be happening is that when you join a table... nothing shows up at first... (other than the hands and players) as the movies of previous played hands download (watch how long it takes for the current score to show up...more hands in the movie viewer, the longer it takes). Something similar happens at the end of the hand. The "movie" window opens up and becomes the active window. So your chat box will disappear, until you reselect it. Unless some true multi-thread programming can go on, I am not sure this will be a trivial problem to fix, but then my programming skills are limited to basic and "hello world" in a few more complex languages.
