nige1
ATxxxx Ax xx QTx1S 4C (strong spolinter, 13-15)4H 4S?Do you agree with 4H? Are you worth another move? If yes, which one?IMO Over 4♣, 4♥ = 10, 4♠ = 5. Now, over 4♠, _P = 10, 4N (rolling) = 9.
cherdano
Assuming we want to make another try, how about RKCB, with the plan to bid 6♠ over 5♥, but to pass 5♠?The problem with all invitations is that partner doesn't know that the ♠Q is wasted/not needed. OTOH, given his bidding 6♠ can't be good if he has the ♠Q, but it is very likely good if he doesn't (at worst it is on 2-1 trumps and a finesse). Free
4♥ is clear imo. What to do next depends on your agreements imo. In my partnerships, responder doesn't have a ♦ cue, so pass is pretty obvious...

Are you precluded with splintering with a singleton A?

mike777
edit. I thought 4h was plenty, pass now.
