A strong splinter

Assuming we want to make another try, how about RKCB, with the plan to bid 6 over 5, but to pass 5?

The problem with all invitations is that partner doesn't know that the Q is wasted/not needed. OTOH, given his bidding 6 can't be good if he has the Q, but it is very likely good if he doesn't (at worst it is on 2-1 trumps and a finesse).

Are you precluded with splintering with a singleton A?

I wouldn't use a strong splinter with a singleton ace.
