Help using Dealmaster

I'm knew to this program (and the duplication process). I have a problem when I create hands for a tournament and then I forget to, let's say, print the hands or save (create) the .txt document where the hands with the possible contracts and best leads; how do I open that file for those hands? which option can I use to make that .txt document?

I assume you are a registered owner of Dealmaster Pro.. I encourage you to use the Help files. Read especially the first few topics in the Help file.

 

All deals are saved to one file, the "Browse file". Therefore ... assuming that you did save the deals, simply open that file (option 3 from the Master Menu). You can open it for all deals or only for deals for one or more specific session/dates or only deals you have classified (tagged) with specific names. When the file is open, there are multiple options. One option is to select deals you want to print Enter an "S" (Select for Print) for each deal you want to print. Close the Browse file and ask for a Hand Record type of printout. On the "Output Options" screen, ask for a Hand Record. The Hand Record option is where the option to create a Text file appears. You will not have to print the hand record if you don't want to ... just ask for a Preview, close the preview and say "No" when it asks if you want to print.. A screen will appear with a check box for the Text file.

 

I cannot emphasize the following two points enough:

 

1. Use the Help file and the Audio Help files.

 

2. READ THE SCREEN. All the options available at any point are always displayed in English words on the screen. If a function is available in DM Pro and is not shown on the screen in front of you, it will be shown on a subsequent screen. You do not have to search through pull down menus looking for something. Just read the screen.
