LEAD?!

We are not hitting an Ace opposite, so we are seeking to build a second trick before declarer gets pitches.

Declarer's shortest suit is almost certainly spades, so that suggests that a spade lead will be ineffective, and it is tough to see how it could be a good entry destroying play either.

I choose a diamond on the basis that LHO might be 6=2=4=1 and even if we have second round club winner, we might not get it: if we win the first round of hearts, dummy still has a trump left and if we duck it, or win an return one to stop the ruff, declarer just wins the second heart and goes about his business: I hate my pointed suit holdings if partner's strength is in clubs.

BTW, lho's ability to keycard and the 2 keycard response suggests, to me, that there is some slight inference that LHO is 6=2=4=1 rather than 6=1=4=2... I think RHO's second keycard rates to be the club Ace (LHO has at most 2 clubs, so the odds are that his 2 keycards are in the pointed suits). This inference makes it less likely that a club will work... partner needs a stronger holding to score a trick if the A is behind him, and we may not be able to score a trick anyway, if LHO is 6=2=4=1... even if we duck the first heart, declarer may be able to succeed by rejecting a second hook.
