matmat
have been trying to follow shubi here but am lost. Are not internet delays more significant than cpu clock speed? network slowdowns are certainly a significant source of delays. but computers are also not immune from major hiccups. Background processes, especially under windblows, such as anti-virus software, "update" stuff can cause breaks of even a few seconds. shubi
concern about the INTERUPT, when you are entering data in a simple form;IT experts will define INTERUPT according to user requirements with STANDARD ACCEPTED responses. If you donot confom you may even be DISCONNECTED. tHIS is like EMERGENCY FIRE CALL, have to be responded and taken care of. In short interupt is computer system BACKBONE. helene_t
About pi times 10^7. I learned it that way when I was an undergraduate and I still remember it when I need it. I can imagine someone asking just when it is that I need it. When computing how many joules per year are used by a device using x Watt. Or the time it takes for an x m/s spaceship to travel to a star y lightyears away. Thanks for the tip btw, until now I have always calculated it on the fly and then forgot it again afterwards. jtfanclub
For those of you unable to use a mouse: hold down the left shift and alt keys and press Numlock. This will get you into the Accessability Option for using your number pad as a mouse (6 is to the right, 4 is to the left, etc.). Try it out!
