Cascade
Does anyone have a good structure over a 2♦ strong and unlimited opening? Maybe "good" is too much to ask for when you start this high - how about a workable structure.
benlessard
Many frenchs play 2D as GF.
glen
Bocchi-Duboin: 2♥: waiting2♠: 5+♥s2NT: 5+♠s3♣: 5+♦s3♦: 5+♣s In 04 and 05 was 3♣=6+♦s, 3♦=6+♥s See also ETM Gold pages 30 and 92-93. However do you perhaps mean 2♦ is strong, unlimited, and natural?

Cascade
Bocchi-Duboin: 2♥: waiting2♠: 5+♥s2NT: 5+♠s3♣: 5+♦s3♦: 5+♣s In 04 and 05 was 3♣=6+♦s, 3♦=6+♥s Yes I found Bocchi Duboin. Curiously their card says for 2♦ that it shows a minimum of 2 diamonds. Does this mean that their game force is is based on a balanced hand at therefore that their 1-level openings are unlimited. pclayton
In Rosencranz' "Standard International" (anyone can feel free to correct this, I'm going on memory): 2♥ - 0-1 controls2♠ - 2 controls2N - 3 controls3♣ - 4 controls3♦ - 5+ controls 3♥ - Minimum 5-5 in majors3♠ - Better 5-5 in the majors3N - 7 card minor; 2 of top 3 honors (nothing else)4♣/4♦ - 5M5M-3[m]4M - 7 card major; 2 of top 3 (nothing else) Schenken 2♦: 2♥ - no Aces2♠, 2N, 3♣, 3♦ - That ace (NT = ♥). 3♥+ = That ace + one higher (I think) The next suit scans for Kings, and then Q's. marcD
Standard french bidding over 2♦ GH is along these lines :- 2♥ no Ace - 2♠ Ace of Heart or Spade- 2NT 8+ HCP- 3♣ Ace of club- 3♦ A of Diamond-3♥ through 3NT 2 aces (same color, rank, mixed) some variation aound that scheme exist but do not think there are a big improvement; think you strike gold every three year or so but otherwise the approach is flawed (no to mention it requires a lot of work to deal with subsequent bidding for something which happens very rarely)
kenrexford
I think it depends on what the 2♦ opening shows.
