EarlPurple
A couple of times recently I've been disconnected from BBO to upgrade my software in the middle of a tournament. How can you start keeping lists of players who leave tourneys early or have bad connections when there is an obvious fault in your software? Even when I decide to cancel the option to upgrade, I still have to reconnect to BBO.
uday
When the software is upgraded, this is what happens. - you log in- a new version is sent to your PC- you log out - you log in - you are asked to upgrade The server attempts this a max of 3 times per PC per version. So, getting back to your question. A player who happens to disconnect from the server and reconnect just as a newer version is ready will have to upgrade (there are ways around this but we strongly prefer you upgrade). An upgrade takes about 30 seconds. We have had 2 new software releases in the last, what, 3 months. The point of tracking disconnections is that we will stop players from participating in tourneys if they have a track record of bailing and not returning. Upgrades are rare enough to be insignificant in this process.Tourney-bans will be issued to players who bail from a large percentage of the tourneys that they enter. So, I don't know which obvious fault you refer to (we have so many) but perhaps you understand the process better.
EarlPurple
That sounds good but it did happen while playing a tournament.
